Upon reading Christopher Phillips' ground breaking book entitled "Socrates Cafe: A Fresh Taste of Philosophy" published in 2001, he new that this movement, this awakening, this calling would someday involve himself.

It was clear from the beginning that Mr. Phillips considered the idea of making a business out of the Socrates Cafe concept to be a perversion of his original insight outlined in his book. Mr. Terry saw it differently. Mr. Terry believes that anything good in this world has to be sold and marketed ... warm comfortable clothing, inexpensive, durable housing, religion ...

In the real world, that which you wish to see more of ... must have an economic reality attached to it that encourages it to grow and prosper or it will be marginal, at best.
